24MEDIA, and SPORT24 in specific, was the Official Communication Sponsor of the 31st Athens Classic Marathon and supported the running team of  "#1morekm", participating with a team of 109 runners in total.

Based on donations submitted by runners, 1260 euros were gathered in total, and were donated to KETHEA STROFI, a comprehensive network of services for young drug users (aged 13- 21) and their families.The amount donated will be used foracquiring audiovisual material, for the Kethea Strofi radio station located in Agios Panteleimon.

Dynamic Presence for SPORT24 at the 31st Athens Classic Marathon

Sport24.gr was once again the Official Communication Sponsor of 31st Classic Marathon, which was held on November 10, 2013.

SPORT24 supported the running team of "#1morekm" and participated with 109 runners on the 5km, 10 km road races and the marathon. Based on donations submitted by runners, 1260 euros were gathered in total, and were donated to the people of KETHEA (Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals) and particularly to KETHEA STROFI, a comprehensive network of services for young drug users (aged 13- 21) and their families.

In addition, Sport24.gr offered media coverage of this major sport event with a variety of articles, news, interviews and competitions with free registration for its readers as a prize. The actual event of Sunday the 10 of November was covered live through the SPORT24 live blog platform.

It is worth mentioning that this year the number of total registrations marked a  new record of more than 30,000 runners registered at all distances, who surpassed themselves and contributed to the efforts of non-governmental organizations and foundations  to raise funds.

Live Presentation of the New AEK FC Stadium Broadcasted Through Dailymotion

The Dailymotion video platform was chosen for the live streaming of the presentation of the new football stadium of AEK. This presentation of "Agia Sofia" and the museum of Refugees took place on Wednesday 6th of November at the central scene of the Onassis Cultural Center.

The Sport24 application for smartphones, continues its successful course by winning on Tuesday, October 1st 2013, the best mobile application award in the category of "Sports & Leisure" of the Appwards 2013.

The award ceremony took place with the presence of various executives of the telecommunication industry and business representatives. Appwards 2013 is an institution which distinguishes and awards the most well-designed, user-friendly, innovative and useful mobile applications .

The SPORT24 mobile application is available for free (IOS/ ANDROID) and continues to record impressive numbers with more than 120,000 Active Users.

More Than 100.000 Downloads for the SPORT24 Mobile App

The SPORT24 application for smartphones, available from June 27 2013, shows impressive numbers, with over 100,000 completed downloads. Additionally, it has been ranking number 1 for a long period of time, in the sports applications category of the App Store.

WIND was the first company to commercially use the app during its launch, in order to promote the new W mobile contract for unlimited communication, through a combination of banners and push notifications.

The mobile application is available for free in IOS and ANDROID. It includes a variety of innovative features, such as real time sport news, live matches,  push notifications, excellent response times and the best possible experience for the user. The rich content and excellent design have won over the demanding sports fans,  with a recording breaking number which exceeds 100,000 downloads.

New Video Views Record for "SUPERBALL"

New video views record for the live WEB TV sports show «Super Ball» during the second consecutive season of its presence, now exceeding more than 2.000.000 video views.

The show is sponsored by NOVA and is a co-production of Sport24.gr and Contra.gr, in partnership with the video platform of Dailymotion.

«SUPERBALL» continues to maintain an impressive average engagement time of approximately 51 minutes per user.

The most recent show, of September 15th 2013 recorded 86,731 total video views and 3,950 concurrent users, with 1,087 comments and questions posted during the show.

During "the poll of the day" 12.558 users in total casted their vote. Antonis Nikopolidis was present in the studio,  while the interview of Miroslav Stoch was also a great success.

SPORT24 Innovates with New Mobile Application

SPORT24 presented it’s new application for smartphones. The application, which is available both as IOS and ANDROID, includes a number of innovative features such as push notifications (alerts for new favorite team use, and breaking news of general interest), the highest application response times under any circumstances, optimal user experience (design, visual comfort in reading, easy access to information) and "Minute by Minute" matches.

The development of the App was made by "M-STAT mobile solutions", while participated in the project as well, in order to enable the advertiser to target in the most effective way the consumer, through a series of creative or innovative practices such as full screen splash advertising (launch ad, interstitial etc.) and push notifications. The combination of content, which the user has already requested, enriched with relevant advertising messages, is used effectively for the first time in Greece in the application of SPORT24.

Strategic Cooperation between Vermantia, 24 MEDIA and Adweb

«Balla Like» is an entertaining Web TV show based on current sports news presented in a unique way.

The main presenter will be George Mitsikostas, accompanied by experienced journalists who will analyze, describe and satirize events and the key characters of each match, in Greek and various foreign leagues.

The show will be broadcasted on Mondays at 21:30, live on Contra.gr, via Dailymotion and will include competitions, live links, guests from Greece and abroad, while users will have the opportunity to decide on pieces of the content of each show through social media.

The production of the show will be done in the self-owned studios of Vermantia and it will be supported by a team of specialized partners in the production of web broadcasts, in order to display the content through various other applications and social media channels.

The broadcast of the Web TV show will be done exclusively via the DAILYMOTION video player and its live streaming services; for the successful and comprehensive promotion of the show the whole digital network of 24MEDIA will be used.
