Mr. Mihalos, with 15 years of experience in the Media sector (Digital, Print & Radio), has made a significant contribution to achieving the goals of 24MEDIA and establishing it at the top of digital publishers, designing and implementing a strategy that is directly linked to original premium content and modern products for users and advertisers.

Another creative year at House Twenty Four

House Twenty Four, 24MEDIA’s largest phygital project, celebrates two years of operation.

The new year brings the third year of the operation of the House Twenty Four, the highly successful 24MEDIA project, which introduced the concept of physical experience to the digital publishing market, offering unique experiences for both co-branded and real-estate brands. 

In 2019, House Twenty Four welcomed 72 brands, created 49 videos, 53 photoshootings and organised 18 events. Giving these brands the physical aspect they needed in their communication and the "home" environment that their display needed. Food, cosmetics, electrical appliances, furniture, clothes, services and accessories have found their place in a real home for another year, just as they claim a place in our readers' homes.

After 9 years, Oneman.gr, the leading digital men’s site in Greece has been fully redesigned and is being  re-launched with a renewed content.

Maria Grapsa new CEO of 24MEDIA

In the context of the continuous development of 24MEDIA’s digital, radio and printed media, Maria Grapsa a distinguished and experienced executive in the Greek media industry, will be taking on the position of CEO of our organization.

During her 28-year career, Maria Grapsa has held positions of responsibility in several media groups (Hachette Rizzoli, Terzopoulos, Eleftherotypia, Attica Publications), and from 2000 to 2011 held the position of CEO of ΙΜΑΚΟ’s media portfolio and Vice President with responsibility for the development of foreign subsidiaries companies and relationships with international partners (Time Inc., Hearst, BBC publications, Dennis Publishing, etc.).

From 2012 to 2018 she served as CEO of Olive Media (InStyle, People, Fortune) and until last year she was Managing Director of MSCOMM Group, a communications, public relations and public affairs company.

Founder and Chairman of 24MEDIA, Mr. Dimitris Maris noted “we welcome Maria Grapsa to the 24MEDIA family. We are convinced that his experience and knowhow will contribute significantly to the further development of our organization, by implementing our particularly dynamic growth plan for forthcoming years”.

The former CEO of the Group, Mr. Nikolas Pefanis, leaves on 31.01.20 after two years of successful course, where he managed to restructure 24MEDIA and provide important and valuable management and management data throughout the team, ensuring business and financial stability.

Mr. Nikolas Pefanis will remain in the Business Team of Mr. Dimitris Maris, as CEO of his new interest company.

The 24MEDIA Group leaves the Online Publishers Association

24MEDIA left the Greek Online Publishers Association (ENED) on 05/12/2019. As a founding member of ENED, 24MEDIA is of the opinion that due to the actions of its current President, the Association no longer represents the aims and goals for which it was first founded, in gross violation of every principle governing the Code of Conduct of its members.

24MEDIA proceeds with its own values and principles and opposes those who fail to respect the freedom of the press and pluralism by launching personal attacks and targeting journalists and Media, especially when they hold the position of the ENED President.

We remind you that ENED was founded in 2012 through personal initiatives by the president of the 24MEDIA Group, with the objective of promoting and establishing healthy and objective digital news media.

This Christmas, the No 1 sporting news brand SPORT 24 and the award-winning sporting event Navarino Challenge have organized an initiative of love involving charity auctions of sports items, from Wednesday 11 December to Friday 20 December. The items will be auctioned via the Charity Idols platform from where you can acquire the items you wish.

Collectable items belonging to best-loved athletes and sports legends such Nikos Galis, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Alexandros Nikolaidis, and signed by the owners themselves, shall be auctioned daily via the online platform .

The amount raised shall be divided equally between the Non-Profit Organizations: Prolepsis Institute, with its school lunch and healthy nutrition scheme – “DIATROFI” and via the “Captain Vassilis and Carmen Konstantakopoulou Foundation,  to “WWF Hellas” and “KARKINAKI”. The winners of the auctions will be notified via email about how to collect their items.

Throughout the initiative, Sport24.gr and Sport24 Radio together with the top sport tourism event Navarino Challenge , as its the main supporters,  shall promote the auction schedule on a daily basis and inform audiences about the collectable sporting items they can acquire.

After 5 successful years, Ladylike.gr has been fully redesigned and is being  re-launched with a renewed content and philosophy. The project was developed by the company BeatTheWhites in collaboration with 24MEDIA, which has formulated and designed a specific strategic plan for developing women content in a web, mobile and social environment.

With its central message “Women today”, Ladylike is addressed to the multitasking, multi-aspect women of today and all the issues that concern them. Women who are workers, mothers, partners, friends, who are fighting for their voices to be heard and for their rights, who take care of themselves, have interests and who maintain an open mind and wish to learn new things. And mainly, women who feel good about themselves.

“The Legends”, the rock gang music authorities have been after for years, are finally arrested

For years, the rock gang “The Legends” have been something of an urban myth. They strike in the city of Athens, both during the daytime and at night, causing widespread concern in many areas of the capital.

Rumors of a tattooed redhead who breaks the law in support of her fellow women, had long been circulating police headquarters. No one had seen her but many had heard her voice through recorded messages or songs left wherever she had struck. Same story for the gang member who goes by the nickname “Makis the Funny Dude”. He kept changing his appearance so the police were unable to track him down.

The gang’s free rein has been halted however since, following a coordinated sting operation by the police, The Legends “were arrested” at 88.6.

From now on, Makis Papasimakopoulos, Pinelopi Anastasopoulou, Nasos Kontopanos, Giannis Kouloukakos and Giorgos Zervos will be confined to the studio where they are to serve their sentence and complete their community service, namely the musical entertainment of Athens audiences.

It is worth noting that 24MEDIA has taken full ethical and musical responsibility for the actions of “The Legends”, something which has shocked listeners throughout the country.

The radio “trial” of “The Legends” starts on Monday, 4 November, with the schedule being as follows:

07:00 - 10:00 Makis Papasimakopoulos and Pinelopi Anastasopoulou for a series of illegal acts against morning wakeups.

10:00 - 13:00 Music choices by the gang’s nucleus and mastermind.

13:00 - 16:00 Nasos Kontopanos, accused of dedications, contests and having a direct relationship with audiences.

16:00 - 19:00 Giannis Kouloukakos, with a list of criminal acts the most prominent of which are strong opinions and deep knowledge of events taking place the city, deep musical knowledge, and an even deeper voice.

19:00 - 22:00 Giorgos Zervos, the gang member that used to strike at night, with full knowledge of all nighttime aspects and what each one requires.

Case not closed

According to information there is a sixth mystery member of the gang, who is still at large, and whose details have not yet been made available since until now there had been no indications that the gang was larger than originally believed. The authorities are however closing in and announcements are expected within the following days.
